From March 26 ?29, 2007, scientists, First Nations and tribal government representatives, resource managers, community leaders, policy makers, educators and students from the Georgia Basin - Puget Sound region will be gathering in Vancouver to share the latest information on the health of our region and discuss ongoing action for the future. The conference, subtitled ?Knowledge for the Salish Sea: Toward Collaborative Transboundary Solutions?, takes place every two years, and this is the 8th one.

As part of the conference, two of Georgia Strait Alliance’s staff will be making presentations. Mike Richards will be speaking about our highly successful Green Boating program, its goals, measures of its success and the ingredients that have kept it sustainable. Christianne Wilhelmson will focus on how partnerships and science are bringing long overdue sewage treatment to the Capital Region of Victoria.
