Contributions: The World Conservation Forum
You will be able to submit proposals online as of June 1
The
World Conservation Congress, co-hosted by Spain and Catalonia in
Barcelona, Spain from 5 to 14 October 2008, is the premier
environmental event of 2008. The first part of the Congress, the World
Conservation Forum, runs from 6 to 10 October and is a great
opportunity to debate pressing issues and their solutions for
sustainable development.
You can
contribute to the Forum by organizing one or more event(s). These pages
contain useful information on the selection process and how to submit a
proposal.

Key dates for contributions
The process by which contributions to the Forum are submitted, selected and accepted is:
1 June 2007
You are able to submit your proposal(s) electronically to this website.
31 July 2007
You must submit your concept proposal(s) before this deadline if you want to be considered in the first round of offers. Details of how to submit your proposal are explained on the following pages.
31 August 2007
The proposals submitted for the first round will be reviewed against
criteria. By the end of August you will be notified if your proposal
has been accepted, declined or held until the second round of
selection. The majority of the events will be selected in this round.
30 September 2007
Your proposal(s) must be submit before this deadline if you want to be considered in the second round.
31 October 2007
Proposals submitted for the second round will be reviewed against a set
of criteria. Before the end of October, you will be notified if your
proposal has been accepted or declined.
