ATHE 2006 Conference

The Association for Tourism in Higher Education is pleased to announce its Annual Conference and Call for Papers
KNOWLEDGE, COMMUNICATION, NETWORKING
Locating tourism knowledge
6-8th December 2006

The aim of the conference is to discuss the transdisciplinarity of tourism knowledge, within the sub themes of teaching and learning; knowledge creation and knowledge transfer; research, and research funding.
We have three eminent keynote speakers: Adrian Alsop, Director of Research, Training and Development, ESRC, who will be speaking on ways forward for funding tourism research in the UK and overseas. Professor Kevin Hannan who will be speaking on Tourism Mobilities and the Politics of Education and Professor John Walton who will be giving a keynote on the importance of tourism history, developing and funding research.
CALL FOR PAPERS
Full papers, presentation of works in progress and posters are invited which support the conference aim and within the conference themes.
ABSTRACTS
Abstracts should be submitted before August 31st to

Abstracts (approximately 200 words) should indicate background, practical implications, methods and/or data sources, and indicative findings of the paper. All abstracts will be subject of a review process. Abstracts should be sent using the appropriate form (click HERE for abstract form).
REGISTRATION
Click HERE for the conference registration form with special rates for bookings made before the 31st August. All registrations should be made by 30th September 2006.
