AIM OF THE CONFERENCE

Tourism has been noting increase tendencies for several years, using general improvement of economic situation in Europe and in the world. There is no doubt, that among the most important factors of growth it is necessary to mention decisions about widening the European Union with next countries. Such countries as the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia or Hungary benefit from this widening of the UE which brought in Europe increase of travelling, improvement of communication accessibility, but also intensification of competitiveness on the touristic market. Noticing the positive phenomena connected with the growth of incoming tourism in countries of Central - Eastern Europe, it is not possible not to perceive problems which are connected with its development. They are, among others, problems connected with development of material subsidiaries for tourism (investments), funding development of this sector, qualified personnel or the quality and standard of provided services. A significant role in development of tourism on a local and regional levels can and should be played by institutions of a territorial council as well as economic council. Complexity of these problems motivates the purposefulness of organizing a debating forum, which would undertake the signaled problems.
