Call for Papers on Hospitality & Tourism Knowledge Management

Symposium at the International Conference on Management and Marketing Sciences (ICMMS) 2008

Dr. Dimitrios Diamantis, Sheffield Hallam University

23rd - 25th May 2008, Athens, Greece

In order to complement the regular program with new and emerging topics of particular interest in Hospitality & Tourism Knowledge Management, the International Conference on Management and Marketing Sciences 2008 will include a Symposium on Hospitality & Tourism Knowledge Management. The Symposium aims to emphasize issues related to Hospitality and Tourism Management by stimulating discussion and exchange of ideas between professionals, academics, researchers, policy-makers, consultants, practitioners, government officials and postgraduate students from tourism, hospitality  and management related fields.

The special session will seek papers that attempt to address some of the key challenges of hospitality & tourism knowledge management, including (but not limited to) the following themes:

·         Human resource management

·         Leadership

·         Strategic management

·         E-marketing

·         Yield and revenue management

·         Wellness and spa management

·         Quality management techniques: six sigma, ISO 9000

·         Risk and investment strategies

·         Sustainability and green issues
