ARA
Journal of Tourism Research / Revista de Investigación en Turismo
INVITATION FOR THE SUBMISSION OF ARTICLES
The ARA
journal is a publication intended for academic and applied research into
tourism and related topics which aims to provide a link between primary
research and practice.
The
geographic area of the journal’s specific attention is the Caribbean region in its widest sense, including the coastal zones of
the Latin American continent bordering the Caribbean Sea. All research articles
on other areas in the world with similar or comparable situations are also
welcome.
As a
professional organ ARA is designed to spread theoretical and practical
knowledge of tourism in especially vulnerable environments in order to foment
and support sustainable development, conservation and the well-being of the
population and natural resources.
It contains
different points of view, analysis and opinions based on academic and
innovative
studies on tourism and will deal with anthropological, economic, business and
educational aspects, both academic and applied, as well as research into
biology, geology, environment, geography, history, sociology and any other specialisations
of academic and professional relevance for the tourism industry.
The new
journal invites researchers of all academic disciplines, such as social
sciences, economics, urban, regional and coastal planning, marine and coastal
sciences, environmental sciences, leisure and hospitality management to
contribute with their work, in particular papers with a multi-disciplinary
character.
The journal
accepts manuscripts in English and Spanish and the article will be published in
