Chiang Mai (Thailand), 11.-13.12.2009
The Constituent
General Assembly of The International Association
For Tourism Economics took place in Palma de
Mallorca (Spain) in October 2007.
Our objective
was not only the contribution for the development
of tourism economics as a science; in order
to encourage contacts between teachers, researchers
and students with institutions interested in
this field, but also to enhance communication
skills between tourism economics and other fields
in economics.
After the success of our first conference and
in accordance with the agreement for biennial
meetings, we welcome the opportunity to invite
you to participate in our second conference
hosted by The Faculty of Economics at The University
of Chiang Mai (Thailand) between 11th and 13th
December 2009.

about our conference, abstract and paper submission,
registration fee, accommodation and much more.
We welcome the submission of papers and attendance
to our conference which will certainly achieve
as high level of participation and research
quality as the 1st Conference of The International
Association for Tourism Economics 2007 The Scientific
Committee for The IATE would like to thank The
