This
special issue of the World
Leisure Journal
seeks to highlight the various forms of postgraduate research in
leisure studies from around the globe. We invite and encourage
submissions of papers covering a wide range of topics related to
leisure research conducted and reported by postgraduate students in
different countries. The
World
Leisure Journal
aims to stimulate and communicate research, theory, and critical
thought in all areas that address leisure and its related subjects.
The
purpose of this special issue is to give current postgraduate
students an opportunity to publish their leisure-related work,
drawing it (and them!) to the attention of the wider, global leisure
studies community.
Empirical
and theoretical manuscripts, as well as position papers, review
articles, and critical essays are encouraged for this special issue.
Suitable
topics could include, but are not limited to:
If you intend
to submit a paper to this special issue, please send a 500 word
abstract to one of the guest editors by November 30, 2010. (Abstracts
must
precede the full papers.)Both
abstracts and final papers will be peer reviewed. You will be asked
to submit a full paper if your abstract is successful. Papers
selected for publication should be between 3000-5000 words long.
Final
papers are due March
30th,
2011 (expected publication late 2011)
