The main objectives of the international conference on destination management taking place in Budapest are to give an overview about the theoretical background of destination management, to discuss the role of the organizations, bodies and companies involved in destination management, furthermore to learn from best practices. The conference provides the opportunity to meet tourism professionals from all over the world and share their experiences and knowledge/market intelligence.
The conference is aimed at: • Representatives of international, national, regional and local destination management organizations, • Municipalities and their delegates responsible for tourism, • Representatives of tourist attractions (e.g. national parks, museums, venues, etc.), • Service providers (e.g. accommodation, restaurants, tour operators, etc.), • Tourism consultants, • Educational institutes involved in tourism (lecturers and students), and • Tourism researchers.
